Q. What is PASV mode?
A. In some firewall systems, the firewall prevents any incoming or outside created connections from entering the system. In order to get out using FTP, the client must create the connection. The mechanism for this is PASV or Passive mode. Not all servers support PASV.

Q. How can I access another drive in my FTP server?
A. The easiest way to access multiple volumes is to create a folder shortcut.

Q. Does FTP Voyager support a Microsoft Proxy Server?
A. Yes it does. To configure FTP Voyager to access a Microsoft Proxy server, under the View / Options menu, select the Connection tab and choose SOCKS4A as the Internet Access Type.

Q. Can I access drive D:/ on my Windows NT FTP server?
A. Yes, accessing multiple drives in FTP Voyager is incredibly easy. You need to simply create a folder shortcut to the drive that you need to access.

Q. Why do I receive 'Too many simultaneous logins from your IP' when I try to download a file?
A. Your FTP server limits you to one login at a time. FTP Voyager's connection saver feature limits FTP Voyager to one login.

Q. Will FTP Voyager work with an AllegroSurf Proxy server?
A. Yes! FTP Voyager has been built to fully support the AllegroSurf proxy server. Voyager is without a doubt the easiest FTP client to configure for use with your AllegroSurf Server.

Q. Can I automate FTP Voyager?
A. Yes, you can using FTP Voyager's command line options or FTP Scheduler.

Q. Can I upload only the changed files to the FTP Server?
A. Yes! You can use the FTP Voyager Folder Synchronization feature. This is also found in FTP Scheduler so you can automate this process, too!

Q. Can I find a file on my FTP Server?
A. Yes, you can find a file on an FTP Server by using FTP Voyagers find files feature.

Q. Can I create a 'shortcut' to a 'buried' folder on my FTP site?
A. Yes. FTP Voyager's Folder Shortcut feature will accomplish this task.

Q. Why does FTP Voyager ask to become the default browser when I first run it? Does this effect web (html) pages.
A. FTP Voyager gives the user the chance to register it as the default client for all FTP shortcuts. This does not effect any protocol other then FTP.

Q. Does FTP Voyager support server-to-server (FXP) file transfers?
A. Making a direct file transfer form one server to the other is as simple a dragging and dropping your files between two FTP Voyager sessions.

Q. After upgrading, FTP Voyager reverts back to an unregistered version.
