Why a Backup Isn't Enough

A backup is intended to save data against software/hardware failure or disaster. Finding an email message in the backup tapes would be similar to finding a needle in a haystack!
Archiving email stores and protects data so that it can be accessed when needed. Email archiving systems provide advanced search and retrieval. These allow users to track down email messages in a timely and cost effective manner.
