Resetting Bayesian Learning in MDaemon
- Stop MDaemon
- Navigate to your ‘\MDaemon\Public Folders\Bayesian Learning.IMAP\’ directory
- Delete the contents found in ‘\Non-Spam.IMAP’ and ‘\Spam.IMAP’
- Restart MDaemon
Note: The Bayesian Learning will now be reset, but will not start scoring until it has received 200 example messages to both ‘Spam’ and ‘Non-Spam’ folders. If you have ‘Bayesian Auto-learning’ enabled this process will happen automatically in the background. If you do not have ‘Bayesian Auto-learning’ enabled, you will need to manually input examples.
To enable ‘Bayesian Auto-Learning’ complete the following:
- Open MDaemon
- Click ‘Security’ from the top menu options and choose ‘Spam Filter…’
- Select ‘Bayesian Auto-learning’ on the left
- Review the check box next to ‘Enable Bayesian automatic learning’
- Click ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ to save any changes
